Criteria in focusing audits
The National Audit Office focuses its resources to achieve the maximum benefits. The following criteria have been approved for this purpose:
a) the economic significance of the matter,
b) the risk for the state economy,
c) the production of new information and
d) ensuring the legality and effectiveness of agencies' financial management, the reliability of reported information and compliance with the state budget.
The National Audit Office also decides on special focuses in connection with annual planning.
