The Auditor-General of Finland, Dr Tuomas Pöysti and Deputy Head of the National Audit Office of Finland Executive Management Support, Director, Dr Tanja Tanayama spoke to senior policy analysts from Baltic and CIS countries on how good budgeting and strategic policy planning can enhance economic growth and success.Strategic policy planning and budgeting need to be interlinked and done within a comprehensive and consistent medium and long term economic policy framework. Fiscal and policy tranparency as well as the quality of budgeting institutions and public administration are important for the long term fiscal stability and economic success.
