The Financial Audit unit performs audits and related expert activities

to ensure

• compliance with the state budget and
• the provision of correct and adequate annual accounts by
  the state and agencies

 and promote

• the exercise of Parliament's budgetary power
• the proper arranging of internal control
• the application of good financial management principles and
• the effectiveness of administration.

Financial Audit has around 60 employees.
