In 2020, a total of seven supplementary budgets were adopted to tackle the economic impacts of the coronavirus pandemic.
The final supplementary budget brings the central government’s borrowing needs up to almost EUR 20 billion. The supplementary budget also contains appropriations for almost all administrative branches, especially to cover different costs incurred from the coronavirus pandemic. The decrease in Veikkaus Ldt’s revenue is also clearly reflected in the figures.
