Supreme Audit Institutions from Europe and Asia gathered last week in Jerusalem to celebrate the third joint conference between EUROSAI and ASOSAI, the European and Asian Organisations of Supreme Audit Institutions. This year’s conference theme was Emerging Issues and Emergency Situations. The National Audit Office of Finland was also present and contributed to both the plenary sessions and workshops.
The Auditor General of Finland Ms Tytti Yli-Viikari gave a presentation Emerging Issues – Need for Innovative Mindsets and Concrete Actions in the special plenary session (presentations by the Heads of SAIs). The presentation was based on Finland’s EUROSAI Governing Board Portfolio as well as the Emerging Issues Web-based dialogue and workshop the National Audit Office of Finland conducted last autumn.

The National Audit Office’s Planning Director Ms Jenni Leppälahti chaired an Emerging Issues Workshop in the conference. The workshop discussed and further developed the results from both EUROSAI and ASOSAI’s emerging issues priorities and future outlook surveys.
